Bean-Flavoured Eye Candy (and its fun to play, too!)
I agree with the other reviews. The app store needs more games like these. Ive only done the first world so far (not to 100% of that world, either), but the game so far is amazing enough for me to actually write this.
The graphics remind me of the 16-bit era of console video games: colourful and crisp. The audio is quite nice as well. The characters jumps are a little on the floaty side, but the level design uses this to its advantage, resulting in a solid gameplay experience.
In addition to reaching the end of the level, there are three other goals for each level: collecting gems, reaching the end within a certain number of jumps, and rescuing some little creature whose name I cant remember how to spell. This brings some good replay value to the table without relying on the tired "get three stars by scoring some arbitrary amount which we wont tell you" system that so many other games use to their own ruin. Thank you developers, for not falling into that trap.
All said and done, a well deserved 5 out of 5.
